First Years Preschool (FYP) celebrates diversity and welcomes children from all backgrounds to our Preschool Campus. Our Academic year begins in August and students may join the school at any time subject to availability of space. Students applying to FYP must meet the admissions criteria which are based on academic performance and general behavior.
Where a class is full, your child’s name will be placed on a waiting list and the school will contact you when a space becomes available. Waiting lists operate on a first come-first served basis but priority in placement is given to siblings of students already enrolled with FYP.
Our admissions procedure begins online with parents/guardians setting up an appointment and providing details such as their child’s name, date of birth and current school status (if any) to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Parents are required to call or email the school to set up an appointment for a campus visit/tour with their child.
- Parents can either email the child’s details (i.e. name, DOB, school reports and status) or drop the child’s details in person by appointment.
- Once all the details haven been collected and reviewed, the child will be scheduled for diagnostic tests/observations.
- Following the diagnostic tests/observations, a decision will be made and an email will be sent within 3 working days, with an offer of a placement in the appropriate class for your child.
Final acceptance and admission into First Years Academy is based upon a review of all available information gathered through the admission process.
